You and your spouse or partner can come in for an evaluation and physical exams. We want to make sure you and your partner are at optimal health and ready to carry a child. This ensures that all proper precautions are put in place so that you can focus on conceiving a healthy child.

 

Prenatal Care for Women in New Jersey

When the time is here, you can come into our office to have us confirm your pregnancy with an ultrasound. This is an exciting time in your life and preparation for your baby will start immediately. We will provide you with:

  • Prescription prenatal vitamins
  • Educational materials
  • Creation of a care plan
  • Checkups every 4 weeks during your 1st Trimester
  • Checkups every 2 weeks during your 2nd Trimester
  • Weekly checkups in your 3rd Trimester
  • Optional Midwifery

Our thorough care will ensure that nothing goes unnoticed, for the health of you and your baby. Checkups consist of a weigh-in, blood pressure and urine check, monitoring of uterus size, and fetal heartbeat check. If any problems arise, we may have you in for more frequent appointments. We also offer midwives for women who prefer an at-home birth or would just like extra support while in a traditional hospital setting.

Going into Labor in New Jersey

When you start going into labor, we understand that women experience a range of different emotions. Call us immediately upon going into labor and head on over to the hospital to deliver your bundle of joy with us right by your side!

Postpartum period in NJ

After having a baby, it is extremely important to come back to Women’s Health Associates for a follow-up appointment. Many new moms neglect themselves while giving all their attention to the baby, but it is extremely important that new mothers get enough rest and proper nutrition in order to properly provide for their new baby. Giving birth is serious, and attention needs to be given to the new mom to ensure she is healthy. After a vaginal birth, follow-up with your doctor in about 4 weeks. If you had you baby via cesarean, follow up with your obstetrician in 2 weeks.
